Alain Resnais’ 2009 film, Wild Grass will be shown on campus April 20 & 22 at 7:30 p.m. in Lecture Hall 6, as part of the Harpur Cinema film series. The Friday showing will be introduced by Professor Vincent Grenier of the Cinema Department. Wild Grass is the romantic story of Georges, Marguerite, and the vagaries of fate brought on by a lost wallet. It won a special award at the Cannes Film Festival. Other famed films by Resnais include the holocaust documentary, Night and Fog, Last Year at Marienbad, Hiroshima Mon Amour, and Mon Oncle D’Amerique. The Libraries own a number of DVD and books by and about Alain Resnais. Some are listed below.
