The Bodleian and Vatican digitize biblical collection

The Bodleian Library at the University of Oxford and the Biblioteca Apostolica Vaticana (Vatican Library) have completed a project to digitize 1.5 million manuscript pages of biblical texts from their joint collections.

The Polonsy Foundation Digitization Project allows you to browse and view every page in these formerly inaccessible manuscripts online. The site offers extreme close up views of Hebrew, Greek, and Latin incunabula through high resolution digitized copies. While only biblical texts have been digitized thus far, the project is working to expand the site to all collections. This collaboration of two major institutions is an invaluable resource to scholars and the general public.
